Black Book invited The Fold to contribute to their 2005, State of the Arts Issue. We decided to try something that we had previously done using sunlight to project shadows of type sprayed on clear plexiglass. This time we fixed garments to large plexi sheets, casting shadows around the LES on the hottest day of the summer.

The Folded newpapers where created as a self promotional tool and also used as an exercise to produce something quickly, without client restraints. Printed at Jae Kims on W22nd St, a place that has not a single computer, fax machine or even a working door bell. 2001.

In 1999 I had a solo show of drawings at fashion showroom Skirt, in NYC. At the time I operated under the name STAIN, a name which was soon to be scuppered by an ad agency that also decided that this was a really good thing to call themselves.
